KALM Post Natal Plan

Suitable from newborn to four months

There isn’t always enough post natal support for new parents in the first few weeks and months following the birth of a baby and I can guide and support you through these important stages.

This plan includes:

Four one-hour visits in the comfort of your own home, when your baby is:

Ten days old

Six weeks old

Twelve weeks old

Sixteen weeks old

I can give you advice for the care of your newborn and feeding techniques including breast, bottle and combi-feeding (weight reviews of your newborn can be offered). Developmental stages and support with immunisations can also be discussed. For parents, the adjustment to parenthood is not always easy and support can be given to aid parental emotional wellbeing. Following each home visit, I will contact you for a thirty minute phone call, to see how you are getting on and offer further support.

The total cost for this plan is £300.00

(price may vary depending on location from Bristol. Travel costs will be extra.)

I contacted Lucy at KALM shortly after the traumatic delivery of my first daughter, Angelina. I felt exhausted, emotional and was confused with the varying advice I was receiving from lots of different people. I began to experience difficulties breast feeding Angelina at three weeks, she was slow to gain weight and became increasingly fussy on the breast. Lucy came to see me and spent time guiding and supporting me, and because her manner was so professional yet extremely friendly, I felt at ease with her straight away. She then visited us once a month, up to sixteen weeks, and weighed Angelina each time and gave me a great deal of reassurance and emotional support. Without a doubt, Lucy made such a difference to the first few months of Angelina’s life.
